Favorites From Our Kitchen – Menu and Price List

BREAKFAST
Quiche: An all-butter flaky crust filled with fluffy eggs and cheese: Choose vegetable medley or our signature Quiche Lorraine

Waffles: Light and fluffy squares served with a side dish of chopped pecans, fruit syrups or maple sauce

Eggs with bacon, toast and fresh fruit

Granola with fruit and yogurt

Breakfast is always accompanied by fresh fruit, our made-from-scratch mini cinnamon rolls and thick crisp bacon if you like. Or substitute a toasted wedge of Sarah’s homemade bread.

Fresh-brewed coffee and more than 75 teas complete your culinary wake-up call priced from $6 - $9.

LUNCH
Our lunch menu changes so that we can provide fine seasonal dishes or celebrate holiday occasions with the foods we love to serve and you love to eat. That said, these delicious entrees and al la carte items can usually be enjoyed in the tea room or outdoors in our tea garden whenever our doors are open.

Chicken Salad: a generous mound served on its own or as a sandwich between two wedges of Sarah’s homemade bread—always accompanied by fresh fruit. Sandwich meals include chips, fruit and a mini cookie.

Cornish Pasty: Straight from the old country, a favorite of the miners from England or Whales, this dish features chunks of tender beef, onions and potatoes in a thick gravy, wrapped and baked inside a pastry shell—served with a salad of young leafy greens and fresh fruit garnish.

Chicken Pot Pie: A baking dish lined with Sarah’s butter crust, filled with chunks of chicken breast, peas, carrots and potatoes swimming in a savory gravy--served with a salad of young leafy greens and fresh fruit garnish.

A variety of wonderful soups and stews are usually bubbling in our kitchen. They change monthly, but don’t miss our signature chicken soup made with home-made noodles and generous chunks of steamed chicken breast; or our thick, tasty and colorful squash soup. Served with a roll, cheese and fruit.

Quiche: Both vegetarian or Quiche Lorraine are usually available, accompanied by a salad of young leafy greens or a cup of mixed fresh fruit.

Sunday Entrees and Lunch Specials
Pork Tenderloin or oven-baked Chicken served with mashed potatoes are a delight to our weekend visitors—cream gravy if you choose and to go with it? Pea salad—a delicious mix of green peas, onion, celery and hard-cooked eggs blended with a delicate dressing.

Lunch and Sunday Entrees are priced from $6 - $11.00.

Pastries and Desserts
This list is best left to the imagination because the selection of pies, cakes, cookies, muffins and rolls in Sarah’s bakery case are always an adventure. Regular items are brownies and fruit breads, ginger cookies, lavender short breads, apple pie, berry pies, bread pudding with a steaming bourbon sauce, French and whole wheat breads, cinnamon or pecan caramel rolls, scones, plus a bunt or layer cake depending on the season and imagination of the culinary experts in the kitchen.

Special orders are always taken and Sarah bakes seasonal favorites for Denver pick-up especially for Denver customers even when the restaurant is closed.
